Our Night On The Las Vegas Strip

Song: Caravansary

Artist:  Kitaro

After the conclusion of the ARML award ceremony...
we went back to the hotel to rest for a few hours.

We then walked across the street to one of the monorail stations...
and took one to the nearest station to the Bellagio.

We arrived at our destination and then walked through the Paris Casino...
until we were just opposite the Bellagio Casino.

There were many shops and restaurants on walkways which were designed
to appear as if one were walking down a Parisian street.

We made our way to the street.

We then crossed the street and ended up in front of the Bellagio.

We made our way to the Bellagio buffet.

I must say...
it was not so good as is the buffet at the Atlantis Casino in Reno.

On our first plates...
Alex and I had split King Crab legs.

My second plate consisted of cornish game hen...
mashed potatoes with gravy...
and, for the first time in my life...
I had a slice of Beef Wellington.

For dessert...
I had decided to get some soft cream and put it in a cup of coffee...
only...I had mistakenly gotten pineapple soft cream.

The resulting concoction had tasted so strange...
I couldn't bear to drink it.

After our meal...
we made our way out to the front to see the water show.

We the walked on a pedestrian overpass over the street...
back towards the monorail to go back to the hotel.

 We exited at our station...
showered, and then went to sleep fairly early.

On the next day...
we drove about four hours to Pasadena, CA...
to our next hotel.

We arrived in the mid afternoon and relaxed for a few hours...
and we then went to old town Pasadena to eat at a Dim Sum restaurant.
More on this in the next article.

  1. Those Vegas malls that look like outdoor streets sound so cheesy, but I enjoyed the experience when I was there.

That buffet doesn't look too bad to me. :)

  2. Yes, I rather like them. The big plus...they are air conditioned.

The buffet wasn't worth the price. The food was okay, but it didn't live up to the Bellagio name.
I was expecting to be absolutely blown away. Sadly...I was underwhelmed.
