Alex's Dark Side Poem

Song:  Wishing You Were Here

Group:  Chicago

Alex had an English assignment today which involved having to
write a poem as if he were suffering from melancholy...
and so, a poem from the Dark Side of human emotions.

Alex is very creative with his writing.

He had completed this assignment in about 1 hour.

I had asked Alex about the significance of the word 'whoosh'...
as he had included it in repetition.

He had explained that part of the requirements for this assignment was for each student
to include an onomatopoeia in repetition.

I had also asked Alex about the poem so far as personal significance.

He shyly said that he would like to experience romantic love
(he has had crushes on girls at his past schools)...
and he wished he could also have some close friends.

While I understand his desires...
I told him how he will find his pure hearted woman once he gets more mature...
and when he has solidified his life.

He is only in ninth grade right now.

Both, the male, and the female...
need time to know who they are...
and what they most want in life.

I had also told him that while there are many pure hearted women throughout the world...
Occidental males and Oriental females make especially good mates.

This has to do with the social aspects of the cultures.

In each of their respective cultures...
the Occidental males, and the Oriental females, are used to giving to the opposite gender.

The result is that both naturally give...
and so, it is a very giving and caring relationship.

When Alex goes back to Japan to visit near the end of this year...he will see
(he was only 6 years old the last time he had visited Japan).

There are still so many Japanese girls who are very feminine and graceful...
and so beautiful.

I also told him that after his studies at University...
he should travel to Japan.

So long as the Japanese women haven't changed too much by then...
I am sure he will find a very mature, maternal, and giving woman
with whom he may fall deeply in love...and be deeply loved by...
and with whom, together, they may find great happiness...
and a lifetime of deep respect and caring

(and who knows how to cook delicious Japanese food  :)

  1. Sounds like you have Alex's love life all planned out. :) I'll be curious to see how it all turns out as love and romance is often so unpredictable and doesn't go according to plans, especially if emotions enter in.

  2. I just don't want Alex to fall in love too early. I must keep prepping him for love by having him watch more Korean Dramas. :)
