Mr. Kyle Johnson - One Of Alex's Greatest Teachers

Song:  October

Group:  U2

This is a recent essay Alex had completed for his Psychology class.

Although it was a simple assignment...
and Alex had completed this, and all of his essays, in a short amount of time
without any need for my input at all now...
he has been doing essays at about one every other day (in total) from all of his classes.

Although he had also completed a three page essay on his mother's experiences as
an immigrant to the U.S. for his English class from merely an interview of her...
I couldn't include it here.  Momma nixed that quickly  :)
(She said it was too private  :(

Alex had also completed a quick Power Point description of Carl Jung's
outmoded theory of the Collective Unconscious.

Alex had also completed his first JAVA simple program.

I must say...
there is one teacher from Alex's old middle school
(Coral Academy Of Science)
who had tremendous impact on him
(he is now teaching somewhere in Las Vegas).

It was his 7th grade Social Studies teacher who...
from his teaching style and enthusiasm...
his emphasis on university level writing skills
and creativity in thought demanded from his students...
had elevated Alex's writing skills to where he can
write essays with rapidity and ease.

His name is Mr. Kyle Johnson.

Just from the level of the assignments that Mr. Johnson had given...
and from the standards to which he had held his class...
I was so tremendously impressed with him.

He was one of Alex's greatest teachers.
I have never before met...a better teacher.

As I had told Alex numerous times...
the great value of Mr. Kyle Johnson was not just in his ability to teach him
History and English at a greatly elevated level...
but it was in his ability to teach him what it is to be a great teacher.

I had told Alex to never forget Mr. Johnson...
that he will forever be one of his teaching role models...
that he had taught him what it means to be able to teach with creativity and passion...
and to be able to get the best from his students by loving what he does as a teacher...
and by caring enough about his students to always give his best to them.

I especially wanted to impress upon Alex to emulate Mr. Johnson's many great traits...
so when Alex becomes a Professor one day...
he shall be able to lead his students to great heights...
and so, that he too, shall be remembered with great fondness.

  1. Alex is so fortunate to have had such an impactful teacher. I know that online courses are great, but sometimes that human element brings creativity, passion, and inspiration that is irreplaceable.

  2. This one teacher had made all the difference to Alex. Alex now knows the difference among teachers who just teach by curriculum...and ones who teach from the heart.
