The Senior Graduating Class Thanks Alex / Recongnition From A Member Of Congress

Song:  Divenire

Artist:  Ludovico Einaudi

On the last day of Alex's school...
the graduating Seniors of his school had given him a good-bye card...
as they were to be leaving High School...
and on their way to various Universities around the nation.

As Alex is advanced in math...
his middle school had sent him to take math
with the Seniors of the high school.

As Trigonometry is a required math class for Seniors...
the entire graduating class (approx 25 students) was taking the same course...
at the same time.

Alex was taking it with them...
however, as he had already taken it at home more than a year prior
to his being in this class...
the teacher often called upon him to demonstrate to the class (on the board)
how he had figured out certain problems.

Alex loved helping his classmates understand math.

Alex had also tutored the high schoolers in math, a couple times a week, after school.

This card showed Alex that he was greatly appreciated for his efforts.

The 2014 graduating Senior class had shown great...well...class... :)
in showing their appreciation to Alex.

Although Alex was just in 8th grade...
and the rest of the class were 12th graders...
he said that he was always treated well by the Seniors.

This was very nice of the Senior Graduating Class.

As I have told Alex many times...
the more mature a child gets...
the more he, or she, values education.

Alex always loves being around older children.

He likes their maturity...
and he feels he may discuss more mature topics with them.

Alex had also received this award of
Congressional Recognition
for his District third place win (In March 2014)
in the Patriot's Pen essay contest.

My original article on Alex's Local 1st place win:

Although Alex had done even better the year prior
(1st place Local / 1st Place District / 2nd in the State)...
it was still so good for Alex to be recognized for an excellent essay this year.

The award came from:

What a grand way to show our youth that their efforts to learn about our government
is appreciated by the members of our government.

I cannot help but really appreciate what this Congressman had done for Alex...
and when I learned that he is a Republican...
I liked him even more!  :)

This was Alex's essay for which he was given this article of Congressional Recognition.

This weekend...
we will have Alex write a letter of thanks and appreciation
to this Congressman for taking the time to recognize his efforts.

Just a little bit of recognition goes a long way in a child's life.

I still cannot believe it...
what a nice thing to do for a young student.

Everything is going well in Alex's life.

Just as importantly...
Alex loves life.

When Alex loves his life...
I love my life.

Yes...
life is good  :)
