Alex's Science Experiment Progression and Material Gathering

Song:  Bourne Vivaldi

Artists:  The Piano Guys

Alex had started his day much earlier with
several hours of Math and Physics studies.

I then discussed and explained the experiments he is to conduct...
and I had him put together his science project Hypothesis and Variables.

I am teaching Alex the applied physics he will need to know in order
to properly engineer his project.

We then went out to eat at a Salvadorian and Mexican restaurant.

Alex had ordered his favorite...
Fried Tilapia.

I had gotten a Beef Torta...

and Pork Pupusas.

Although they were good...
neither had as much meat as I would have preferred.

On the way home...
we went to the hardware and grocery stores to get some
supplies for his experiments.

We had picked up some safety googles, long nose pliers...
and at the grocery store...some solutions which were acid and base.

I had also ordered some scientific equipment from Amazon...
all of which should arrive in a couple of days.

Vernier Calipers

Sensitive Gram Scale

Total Dissolved Solids meter

pH meter

Although the apparatus itself is simple in design...
and may be built using household and drugstore items...
Alex must conduct some preliminary experiments to improve the efficiency
of the materials of which the apparatus shall be built...
and he will have to quantify his findings accurately in order to present
his findings in the presentation phase of his science project.

I still must get a means of hermetically sealing the whole project...
however, that may wait until the end phase.

As soon as we receive all of the equipment from Amazon...
Alex may begin his experiments...
and then move on to the actual construction of his project.

Since we are waiting for the equipment to arrive...
tomorrow, we shall go hunting for some fall colors to view.
