Russell Lehmann Autistic Poet: Invited to Autism Awards Ceremony In Canada

Song:  What Child Is This

Group:  Unknown

A couple of years ago...
I had written about an Autistic young man by whom I was inspired.

The original article is below:

This young man had written a collection of poems and stories:

He is now to be recognized at an International Autistic Awards Ceremony:

He has a fundraiser to allow him to attend these awards in Canada this October.

I was impressed with this young man's drive to improve his life...
by his internalization, dissection, and introspection of painful moments
in his life...and by his bold strides forward to overcome them...
to ultimately emerge a far better human being...
someone who understands human nature at a far deeper level than most.

It is this type of person...
one who doesn't merely sit back and complain...
but one who takes stock of his life in an honest fashion...
uses his heart and mind to move himself onwards and upwards...
using and honing the tools at his disposal to effect a positive result
in his life...and in so many others'.

Should you find this young man as inspiring as had I...
please find it in your heart to support him so he may make this journey.

Just a small amount is fine.

It is in the message we send him through our demonstrated caring...
that there are others who truly appreciate
 his drive...his heart...his dream...
and that we applaud these attributes from our hearts.
