Alex's Advanced Weight Training Program - Mon / Wed

Group:  Two Steps From Hell



The following is Alex's exercise program for Mondays and Wednesdays.

It is designed to be light as it is right after the heaviest weight training day...
and just before the second heaviest weight training day.

As in everyday...
Alex starts out with some light stretching...
 then hits the Makiwara.





Alex is doing Incline Sit ups and then Hyperextensions.

His goal is to work up to 100 repetitions...
then increase the resistance until he can, once again, do 100 reps...
then once again, increase the resistance...etc.

These are two VERY important exercises.
They provide the tie in from the lower body to the upper body...
and are frequently the weak links in most persons.

Without strong and supple muscles in this area...
besides not being able to reach your physical potential...
a multitude of physical problems will arise...especially later in life.





 Alex then kicks the bag.
He will eventually work his way to hundreds of strikes each session.




The last portion will be some Grappling practice...
 he will stretch once again...
 and then shower.

There is no heavy weight training except on Sundays and Thursdays.
There is some limited body strength conditioning on Tuesdays and Fridays.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturday...it is more endurance training.
