Alex At Lake Tahoe For 4th Of July - II

Song:  Be Still

Artist:  Helen Jane Long

We sat on the beach... just a few minutes walk from the pier.

Alex played in the water a little while.

As the sun set...
the clouds turned from a white...

to an amber...

and then... to a pink and white.

There was still a cool gentle breeze... which made everything just right.

There were still children swimming until the sky darkened.

Alex finally settled down and sat for the rest of the evening.

This girl was selling glow in the dark tubes.
Alex got one a little while later.

I must apologize for the lack of quality photos with the fireworks.

Besides we being too far away from the bursts...
our camera is a compact pocket one.

While it does well with snap shots...
with specialized shots...
well...
I am going to get a better one in a few months.

There was music being played at each beach on South Lake Tahoe.
The fireworks were coordinated with each song.

At the conclusion of the fireworks...
we departed.

Although it was 10:30 PM when we left...
Alex, and I, were hungry...
so we went to our old favorite 24/7 restaurant...

The Purple Parrot.

The fountain is at the entrance to the restaurant.
I took a picture of Alex taking a picture of the fountain.

Alex has written more than 20 reviews on Yelp.
He is now adding photos to his reviews.

Alex had Grilled Salmon.

I had a Steak Gyro.

Tomorrow...
after Alex's regular studies...
we are going to do some extra essay work...
and we still must come up with a really good science project.

I am going to help him brainstorm tomorrow.

We are also going to plan our camping trip.
We hope to go sometime next week.

---------

Our day at Lake Tahoe was a good day.

Together with family...
things to see...
things to do...
good food =
a grand time!
