An Article In Review - 10 Myths About Introverts

Song:  El Condor Pasa

Artists:  Simon And Garfunkel

Alex is naturally an introvert.

He is happy being alone with his interests.

Although he likes being with other children...
he doesn't wish to always be with others.

He loves pursuing his interests.

Is this a weakness?

Is it desirable to want to be in groups?

Will he be hampered in life because he loves solitude?

--------------

My wife likes reading the latest research concerning human behavior...
especially when it concerns the fields of Neurobiology and Neurochemistry.

And so...
she had brought to my attention an article she had come across.

The author had demonstrated
great observations into the human condition...
but then again...
I would expect that ...
coming from an introvert.

----------------

I know that introverts are sometimes looked upon as
being UNABLE to function NORMALLY.

You must remember...
for them...
it is NORMAL.

Although statistically (in the USA)...
they are out of the statistical norm.

A person who has deep introspection...
has deeply running sincerity...
deeply running passions...
feels deeply compassionate...
feels a deep sense of justice for all that is right.

I say...
the world would be far better off with more introverts...
or at least with more introspective extroverts.

A man who loves his own company...
is a man well worth knowing.

He knows you far better than you realize...
because he knows himself.

He understands human behavior...
because he understands himself.
